Did you know that refrigerant impurities can be a hidden cause of equipment failure or reduced performance?

If you have found yourself dealing with;

  • Repeated call outs to the same job
  • Inconsistencies in current oil sample tests
  • Frequent replacement of refrigerant driers and oil
  • An unexplained compressor burnout

Your system may require a refrigerant check.

Ensuring your client’s air conditioning or refrigeration system is operating at peak performance will keep their business running smoothly and extend the life of their valuable asset. At the first sign of poor performance, an accurate diagnosis of the problem can help them avoid costly repairs or system failure.

Fortunately, Gas2Go® offers the Gas Doctor Testing Service to provide you with a fast and accurate refrigerant analysis. We use industry-leading testing procedures to identify the impurities in your system’s refrigerant.

But why test refrigerant?

  • Performance/capacity loss could be due to partial loss of refrigerant charge in a system
  • High head pressures typically relate to the presence of non-condensables
  • Compressor burn outs may result in high acidity and particulate matter, which may cause premature failure of motor windings
  • A preventative measure as part of your routine annual maintenance

With the Gas Doctor Testing Service, we provide laboratory analysis of the contaminant levels in your refrigerant to ensure your refrigeration equipment is operating at optimum capacity. We offer accurate identification of unknown refrigerants and contaminants that may be present in CO2, HFC, HFO blends and HCFC’s.

Utilising small samples extracted from the system, our world class laboratory can analyse composition, non-volatile residue, acidity, moisture, chloride, particulates and non-condensables. This enables decision making on corrective actions to prevent damage, costs of replacing refrigerant, driers, and oil and improve system performance.

Results are expressed against the AHRI 700 standard composition and maximum contaminant limits which are the internationally recognised ‘optimum limits’ for refrigerant in a HVAC and refrigeration system.

All products are tested in-house at the Gas2Go® laboratory facility certified to ISO 9001 quality system. Your test results will be promptly returned to you, and our service is available to all customers, Australia wide.
